Laser projectors from Christie deliver vivid visuals across multiple outdoor installations in China
Wuhan’s popular Huabohui Scenic Spot, a picturesque flower-themed park, has been transformed by Christie laser projectors into an immersive visual experience. The installation powers China’s first night tour centred on the ‘Twelve Flower Goddesses’.
Jianye Display led the projection design and systems integration. “The Christie laser projectors delivered outstanding brightness and colour accuracy, even under challenging nighttime conditions,” said Ke Zhou, regional manager at the Hubei District of Jianye Display. “Their low noise, stable operation and efficient thermal management ensured consistent performance throughout the show.”
Covering five key venues – from church facades and flower skirt projections to a floating sphere display – the projectors played a key role in shaping visual storytelling.
Jianye Display deployed 13 Christie 1DLP laser projectors, including the Inspire Series DWU760-iS, DWU960-iS and DWU23-HS. With its 23,650 lumens of brightness and enhanced colour performance, the Christie DWU23-HS was particularly effective for large-scale architectural projection. Meanwhile, the compact DWU760-iS and DWU960-iS projectors excelled in tighter installations.

Despite harsh weather conditions, Christie’s technology remained reliable. “We’re proud to support this benchmark cultural tourism project,” commented April Qin, senior sales director for Christie China. “It demonstrates the strength of our projection technology in complex outdoor applications and shows how immersive experiences can enhance storytelling and engagement.”
Since its launch, the show has attracted thousands of visitors, establishing a model for future cultural tourism development. This project is similar to the immersive mountain-sea-lake projection seen in Zhejiang’s Nanbei Lake in China.
