Powering The Red Clay Strays “Get Right” Tour
The Red Clay Strays toured America last summer and fall with dozens of sold-out amphitheaters cheering on their irresistible blend of Southern rock, country, and blues.

China’s first immersive mountain-sea-lake projection mapping experience has come to life with Christie technology
Zhejiang’s Nanbei Lake in China recently showcased Poetic Dreams of Ganchuan, an immersive light and sound show. To deliver the dazzling visuals needed, Christie 1DLP laser projectors were selected for the show.
This unique production reimagined ancient Southern Song culture through projection mapping. However, bringing the show to life posed significant challenges.
From navigating swamps and rugged terrain to achieving precision projection across natural landscapes, Christie’s technology successfully transformed the huge site into a captivating spectacle. Along with the expertise of Jianye Display, a partner of Christie, the lake became a dynamic cultural canvas.
The experience featured six key scenes powered by 16 Christie 1DLP laser projectors, including the high-brightness DWU23-HS, DWU1400-GS and DWU760-iS models. Ke Zhou, regional manager for the Hubei district of Jianye Display, described the benefits of selecting these models, “The Christie projectors, with brightness ranging from 7,150 to 23,650 lumens, truly stood out in this project.”
Dreamlike scenes unfolded on a moonlit globe with the help of four DWU1400-GS units. Similarly, six Christie DWU23-HS projectors powered images of red lotus and colourful butterflies dancing across a bridge. Each projection added depth and atmosphere, enhancing audience experience throughout the performance.

Cables were either buried or ceiling-mounted to prevent short circuits and keep audiences engaged
To ensure reliability, all projection equipment was weatherproofed and installed using ceiling mounts and reinforced brackets for stability. Emergency solutions were also deployed for extreme weather scenarios.
The immersive show attracted tens of thousands of nighttime visitors and has contributed significantly to local economic activity. Recognised by the China Performance Industry Association, the project has elevated Nanbei Lake’s profile as a cultural landmark.
The Christie Inspire series has also become a trusted choice for projection mapping in houses of worship, including 20 religious spaces across Ontario.
