London’s Immersive Technology Experience Centre is now home to Underground Slate in partnership with d&b group
Underground Slate, an independent content distribution company, has recently announced a six-month residency at London’s Science Museum, in partnership with d&b group. This strategic collaboration is designed to accelerate the future of immersive audio-visual storytelling.
Throughout the residency, Underground Slate will use d&b group’s Immersive Technology Experience Centre to showcase independent projects. This experience will be powered by d&b audiotechnik’s Soundscape technology, a spatial audio system that delivers sounds through 360° sonic environments.
The partnership aims to give artists the tools to tell immersive stories. “This residency is about putting independent content at the forefront and creating space for true creativity to thrive,” said Tomasz Witkowski, co-founder of Underground Slate.
The first initiative of the residency will be a creative partnership with Andy Turner, founder of AT Creates Studio. Turner spoke about the project's significance. “This partnership with Underground Slate and d&b group lets us break out of the frame – creating living, breathing worlds you can hear, see and feel.”
One of the headline initiatives to emerge from this collaboration will be ThE ToYMaKeR’s KeY – a bold new independent multi-platform franchise from AT Creates Studio. Ultimately, this project highlights the power of original British content on the global stage.
