Following the start of its 40th-anniversary celebrations in 2024, Strongroom Studios has recently partnered with Void Acoustics
The announcement of Strongroom Studios’ three-year partnership with Void Acoustics further celebrates the studio’s milestone anniversary, which began in 2024. Combining Void’s experience in high-performance sound and Strongroom’s background as a historic music recording studio, the partnership promises to enhance the studio complex with advanced sound technology.
This partnership aims to complement Strongroom’s iconic facilities with Void’s latest products. Its impact is already visible through the renovation of Strongroom’s bar into a full-spec, high-performing music venue and nightclub space.
Commenting on this renovation, which also included a reimagining of Studio 4 at the music recording complex, Jake Murray, director and studio manager at Strongroom, said, “The refurbishment of our venue is a statement of intent for Strongroom’s next steps as a business, now 40-years-young.”
To mark Strongroom’s anniversary, the studio invited celebrated artists, including DJs and a full band, for an exclusive event in early 2025. This celebration provided partygoers with an opportunity to experience Void’s pristine sound system first-hand in Strongroom’s newly upgraded spaces.
Both Strongroom and Void have worked with leading artists. While the Spice Girls recoded Wannabe at Strongroom, Void has installed its acoustics in renowned venues like Studio 338 in London, highlighting the impact of both companies on the music industry.
Through this collaboration, the partners hope to continue supporting new talent in the music industry, with Andy Rigler, head of sales at Void Acoustics, stating, “It is a great honour that up-and-coming and world-renowned artists and producers are using Void speakers to showcase new material.”
Strongroom and Void’s partnership is set to evolve further in the future. “We’re proud to be developing our live music offering at a time when the country is sadly losing one grassroots music venue every fortnight, and we’re very excited to develop our partnership with Void over the coming years,” says Murray. Recent announcements, such as Void Acoustics unveiling of three new products at ISE 2025 in Barcelona, highlight the ongoing developments within the partnership.
