Gracie Abrams takes The Secret of Us Tour on the road, with DiGiCo Quantum338 consoles, proving there’s no secret to great live sound
Following high-profile opening slots on Olivia Rodrigo’s 2022 Sour Tour and Taylor Swift’s 2023/24 Eras Tour, Gracie Abrams is now headlining her own The Secret of Us Tour. Joining her on the road have been a pair of DiGiCo Quantum338 consoles, supplied by Clair Global, extending the Quantum series’ presence on major tours, including Gary Barlow’s 2025 run.
A DiGiCo Quantum338 with the Pulse upgrade handles up to 120 inputs, supported by SD-Racks and MADI playback. Dom Rizco, FOH engineer explained that “the combination of the Quantum’s flexibility and the Mustard processing is what lets me manage all of this.”
Abrams’ performances have a lot of dynamic range, balancing quiet ballads and roaring rock songs. To help manage this scope, Rizco is using Oeksound’s Soothe Live dynamic-resonance suppressor plugin through a FourierAudio transform.engine. Thanks to its compatibility, DiGiCo enables Soothe Live to smooth vocals and cut crowd bleed harshness.
For Juan Carlos Garcia-Spitz, monitor engineer, choosing DiGiCo was an easy decision thanks to its ability to handle multiple digital formats. Importantly, the Quantum338’s Mustard and Spice Rack processing let him create complete vocal chains internally, which saves time and avoids external processors.
Each show involves multiple instruments and large audiences, so DiGiCo's flexibility and scalability have been essential to delivering a consistent performance. Above all, the user-friendliness of the consoles have allowed Abrams’ team to manage the tour with ease.
