Education courses online and at the Düsseldorf Training Centre provide hands-on learning with Lightware technology

Lightware, a global leader in signal management, is reaffirming its commitment to education. The e-learning platform Lightware Academy and its in-person Training Centre in Düsseldorf, Germany, are central to the company’s mission to make AV education accessible and practical worldwide.

“At Lightware, we believe in sharing knowledge, not gatekeeping it,” said Gergely Vida, CEO of Lightware. “Education is central to our mission.”

Lightware Academy has attracted over 9000 users worldwide since it went live in 2023. During this time, these users have collectively completed more than 18,000 courses, a testament to the popularity of the resource.

Lightware Academy offers self-paced modules designed to support every stage of an AV professional’s career, from initial introductions to AV-over-IP to in-depth training on AV integration. This content is supported with instructor-led webinars, like the highly popular USB Masterclasses and Taurus UCX product sessions.

Recognising that some skills are best put into practice in person, Lightware also continues to invest in physical spaces for training. In June 2024, the company opened its dedicated Training Centre in Düsseldorf. In less than a year, the centre has welcomed over 320 attendees.

Lightware’s investment in education spans a wide range of sectors, from corporate and higher education markets to live events and public services.

“We are committed to playing an active, positive role in the AV industry and by continuing to invest in and offer different education initiatives, we’re not only helping to level up overall competencies, but also ensuring a bright future of innovation,” concluded Vida.
