Composer Ilan Eshkeri is teaming up with the European Space Agency for an immersive concert blending orchestral music with breathtaking cosmic imagery

Blending powerful orchestral music with cinematic visuals from orbit, Space Station Earth is set to allow audiences to see through the eyes of an astronaut. Created by Ilan Eshkeri in partnership with the European Space Agency, this immersive experience returns for a UK tour in 2026 after a sold-out debut at London’s Royal Albert Hall in 2022.

This event unites music with high-definition footage filmed by astronauts from the International Space Station. By using a synth-pop band, an orchestra and a choir, it will offer audiences a striking new way to experience human space exploration.

The Space Station Earth concept was inspired by Ilan Eshkeri’s friendship with astronaut Tim Peake. After seeing the show, Peake said, “There aren’t many words that can truly describe the beauty of seeing Earth from space, but Space Station Earth does this, using music and video to capture the emotion of human spaceflight and exploration.” Eshkeri further explored the idea in-depth with his accompanying 2022 album.

Eshkeri’s work spans film, TV and gaming. His credits include House of Guinness, MobLand and Super/Man: The Christopher Reeve Story, alongside collaborations with Coldplay and Sir David Attenborough. Commenting on the reasons behind making Space Station Earth, Eshkeri said, “Human spaceflight will be at the forefront of public consciousness in 2026, with the planned Artemis II mission taking humans back to the moon. This created the perfect opportunity to bring back ‘Space Station Earth’ to give audiences the opportunity to see through the eyes of an astronaut.”

Appealing to space enthusiasts, concert-goers or anyone interested in immersive experiences, this show offers a fresh way to see the world. The live dates will kick off in Glasgow on 28th May 2026 and will include London, Birmingham and Manchester.
