Fairy-Tale Theatre in Yunhe upgraded with two DiGiCo Quantum 338 consoles, delivering precise audio for opera, dance and live drama
Deep in the heart of Yunhe city in China stands the beautiful Fairy-Tale Theatre. This space has recently benefited from the installation of DiGiCo’s Quantum series. Whatever the performance, the two new DiGiCo Quantum 338s deliver accuracy and vivid audio precision.
Yunhe, known as the Wooden Toy Town, is famous for the quality and quantity of children’s toys lovingly produced there. The multi-functional Fairy-Tale Theatre is situated within the enchanting Fairy-Tale Castle complex within the city.
Zhao Haozhi, deputy manager of the Product Department for audio suppliers RAC, an official distributor of DiGiCo in China, was involved in the purchase and installation. He explained what makes this theatre so special. “Yunhe Fairy-Tale Theatre benefits from exquisite architectural design and visitors will be impressed by the modern, minimalist style,” he explained.
The audio team at the 696-seat capacity theatre chose the Quantum 338s for their versatility, including 128-input channels with 64 Aux or sub-group busses and a 24 x 24 full processing matrix. These ultra-bright screens are great for rehearsals, reverting to dark mode for the performances, with dimmed features across the surface for minimal distractions.
One Quantum 338 is used as the main venue console, with the second mirrored as a backup. The ability to mirror the consoles simplifies operation and enables real-time synchronisation. It also reduces the chance of human error by allowing an easy overview of the consoles.
