Barco and Scalable Display make immersive alignment easy
From museums to planetariums, a new camera-guided auto-alignment tool from Barco and Scalable ensures multi-projector images align perfectly in immersive spaces
Barco and Scalable Display Technologies have teamed up to launch a camera-based auto-alignment tool that makes multi-projector set-ups easier. Using camera-guided calibration, it automatically aligns, warps and blends images into a single display. Drawing on Scalable Display Technologies’ 20 years of experience in high-end simulation systems, the tool brings simulation-grade accuracy to immersive environments in entertainment, events and beyond.
The new auto-alignment solution is built on Scalable’s field-tested technology. Upon this, Barco contributed to shaping workflow and integration, ensuring the solution could fit within immersive environments and align with the needs of operators and integrators.
Whether in museums, planetariums, or other immersive venues, this solution ensures that every pixel is aligned. “Extending our core values – accuracy, reliability and ease of use – into a fully integrated solution on Barco’s Pulse platform is a natural evolution that benefits the broader market,” says James Pietsch, director at Scalable. “Together, we’re making multi-projector alignment faster, simpler and more consistent, so operators can focus on the experience, not the set-up.”
The new tool leverages camera-based technology to automate image warping, edge blending and realignment. This technology eliminates the need for manual adjustments and streamlines the workflow, simplifying on-site operations, reducing set-up time and making multi-projector calibration more accessible.
This auto-alignment tool reinforces the commitment to total system integration and future-ready innovation.
