With the launch of Studio C, Prime Studio has deepened its partnership with Van Damme by integrating a custom cabling solution into the space
Located in the Austrian Alps, Prime Studio is known for its acoustics, rare vintage gear and breathtaking surroundings. The studio has once again partnered with Van Damme to bring high-spec custom cabling to its latest room.
Following a previous collaboration on Studio A, Van Damme cabling has now been installed in Studio C. This mastering and post-production room is built around Abbey Road EMI G12345 MK IV and TG12410 consoles.
The installation used a variety of bespoke Van Damme assemblies, including EDAC looms made with 12-pair Blue Series cable, and Quad microphone cabling. “Studio C was a precise and high-performance install, and we supplied all assemblies to custom spec and labelling, delivered on time and without issues,” said Adam Jafrabad, export director at VDC Trading.
Studio C is designed as a fully isolated mastering suite, built separately from the main studio for enhanced acoustic control. It includes a custom 5.1 monitoring system from SurrounTec, DSD/DXD mastering via Merging Technologies Pyramix and supports simultaneous 48-track recording.
With Studios A, B and C all now equipped with Van Damme cabling, Prime Studio supports a wide range of recording, mixing and mastering workflows.
