Swingers’ Las Vegas site parties with Martin Audio speakers
Crazy golf just got crazier as MSL successfully delivers its biggest contract yet with the opening of Swingers in Las Vegas
Set on a massive 40,000-square-foot site, Swingers boasts no fewer than 170 Martin Audio loudspeakers, including 122 CDD6. This huge installation is the largest in Middlesex Sound & Light’s (MSL) 41-year history. With this project, Martin Audio now appears in all Swingers venues.
Swingers is a crazy golf-themed venue that offers mini games alongside food, drinks and a lively atmosphere. Run with the support of MGM Resorts, the Las Vegas operation not only offers four 9-hole crazy golf courses but also Swingers’ new fairground-style Carnival games arcade concept.
Three Martin Audio Torus T1230 arrays, paired with SXCF118 subwoofers, form a discreet but powerful proscenium-style PA system at the venue’s focal point. Inside this display, four CDD10 speakers are present to aid live performances and corporate presentations. Additional CDD10s provide on-stage monitoring, while a DJ booth in the lower section takes over later in the day when the volume ramps up.

Steve Billington, MSL’s system designer, explained the importance of Martin Audio in the space. He commented, “With a constantly moving audience, the reason we choose CDD6 is because the dispersion is so wide and gives consistent coverage compared with a traditional speaker.”
Much of the magic had already taken place in the 3D software before installation. The design was modelled using Martin Audio’s advanced Display3 visualisation software, allowing the team to fine-tune speaker placement and coverage with precision before setting foot on site.
The venue's momentum shows no sign of letting up. The programme is now set to continue in other key US cities, before moving even further afield.
Martin Audio is a strong choice for entertainment venues. At the River Spirit Casino, Martin Audio’s C8.1T 8in full range ceiling speakers have been employed to create atmosphere in the Gridiron Sportsbar.
