Oasis’s reunion tour lights up stages across the globe with a giant LED wall as Universal Pixels, Absen, Brompton and Disguise bring the band’s iconic songs to life
Despite some time apart, Oasis has remained popular. After a 16 years, Noel and Liam Gallagher have returned with Oasis Live 25. Universal Pixels marked the reunion with a striking LED show.
Commissioned for the project 12 months ago, Universal Pixels invested in Absen’s Venus 4.8mm LED for the tour. This technology helped the team develop and deliver a huge upstage wall – 1100sqm in Heaton Park – with IMAG screens.
Additionally, Universal Pixels brought in Brompton Technology to manage the ambitious video setup, deploying 16 4K Tessera SX40 LED video processors and 34 Tessera XD 10G data distribution units. That was combined with the playback capabilities of four Disguise GX 3 media servers.
The video elements of the show amplify, project and embellish the performance across huge venues. Gareth Manicom, head of technical at Universal Pixels, commented about the ongoing tour, “Collaborating with Absen, Brompton Technology and Disguise means a smooth set-up, unwavering reliability and out of this world visuals, crucial elements in a tour that fans have been hoping for since 2009.”
The result is a visually immersive reunion. Take a deeper dive into Universal Pixels' role in this project in our Oasis article.
