Lisbon’s MEO Arena hosted a football-themed event with Europalco’s full production, featuring Europe’s largest indoor drone show and L-Acoustics audio
Recently, Europalco, the largest provider of solutions for events and shows in Southern Europe, achieved one of its most ambitious feats yet. Europalco transformed the dining setup at Generali Tranquilidade’s annual gathering into a synchronised visual display. This show set the tone for a fully immersive experience.
Held at Lisbon’s MEO Arena, the largest indoor multi-purpose stadium in Portugal, and produced by the agency 2 Inspire, this year’s edition brought together nearly 2000 attendees. Guests moved seamlessly from the arrival hallway to the main event spaces, experiencing immersive visuals that matched the football theme.
Over 55 Europalco specialists were involved in the project. After a month of planning, the team delivered a full technical package including audio, lighting, video, rigging, staging, motor control, custom scenery, projection mapping, streaming, camera systems and furniture.
A highlight of the event was the synchronised video projection displayed across the guests’ dining tables. The complex visual was achieved using 14 Christie 20K and 16 16K projectors, coordinated to create a cohesive effect throughout the dining area. Another standout feature of the event was the indoor drone light show. This was the largest of its kind ever performed, involving 100 drones.
The audio system made use of L-Acoustics’ L2 line array, owned and operated by Europalco. Meanwhile, lighting featured Zonda 9 FX, BMFL Blade, Wildsun 500 and Ayrton Diablo fixtures, selected for their flexibility in shaping both ambient and dynamic looks.

More than 1700 cubic metres of equipment was used for the event
While the scale of the event presented logistical challenges around setup, calibration and rehearsal time, Europalco’s integrated teams ensured precise execution through pre-event testing, tight coordination and on-site system verification.
Feedback from 2 Inspire and Generali Tranquilidade confirmed the success of the approach.
