Christie lasers light up a magical Enchanted Christmas

This year, join elf missions, snowball fights and festive adventures as Christie projectors bring magical Christmas experiences to life at Planet Ice Bristol

This holiday season, Planet Ice Bristol in the UK is sparkling with festive magic thanks to Christie projectors. A total of 10 Captiva DWU500S 1DLP ultra short throw projectors from Christie partner Attraktion! bring floors, ceilings and scenic elements to life, creating a dazzling wonderland for visitors at Enchanted Christmas.

The hour-long family attraction begins with guests checking in and receiving an elf alter ego, where they are briefed on their mission to save Christmas. The journey features interactive stations and games, opportunities to explore festive traditions, songs from around the world and encounters with seasonal characters.

In the Gift Express room, Christie Captiva projectors transform three walls into a lively canvas where children can help catch flying gifts and wrap them. Meanwhile, in the Twinkle Studio, the projectors display guests’ decorated presents and ornaments as interactive projections. The experience also concludes with a brief VR segment.

Attraktion! completed the technical build using the footprint from a prior experience at the venue. To make the experience more believable, the projectors are mounted unobtrusively above exhibits, hidden from view. Media servers handle playback, with Unity and Unreal Engine powering interactive elements alongside motion‑tracking sensors.
