Blink-182's "One More Time Tour" features displays and effects powered by Hippotizer Tierra+ MK2 Media Servers, creating an unforgettable concert experience
Legendary American rockers Blink-182 are electrifying audiences with their LED-centric, in-the-round arena shows on the current “One More Time Tour.”
These concerts feature an impressive array of lights, pyrotechnics, fireworks, and LED screens, all driven by tvONE’s Green Hippo brand of Hippotizer Media Servers.
At the heart of the visual spectacle are two flagship Tierra+ MK2 Media Servers from Green Hippo, now distributed by ACT Entertainment in North America. These servers control four large LED screens rigged in a square formation above the stage. Made from ROE CB8 LED panels, the screens provide optimal viewing angles for every audience member, regardless of their position in the arena.
The visual content for the tour is a vibrant mix of rendered animations, IMAG, Notch Effects, and on-board Hippotizer effects. This content was created by the LA-based production design company TrasK House, which also designed the show. Media Server programming was handled by VUE Show Design.
“The Hippotizer Tierra+ MK2 Media Servers were perfect for this show because of their NotchMarks and the four outputs, making it super convenient to route any or all viewports as needed,” explains Bransen Black of VUE Show Design. “The show features many standout moments, given Blink-182’s numerous hits. Using both Notch and the Hippotizer on-board effects engine created dynamic visual experiences.”

A highlight of the stage design is a custom LED floor fabricated by SGPS, with Black and his team using Hippotizer PixelMapper to transmit data to it.
“The touring Hippo tech, Nick Lepoutre, spent two weeks mapping over 17,000 pixels,” says Black. “Nick meticulously placed all pixels in the raster space of PixelMapper and ensured proper data transmission from the server to the DMX nodes. I am constantly impressed by how versatile Green Hippo is. Even simple effects, like lighting the floor in a solid colour, were striking due to the stage’s use as a giant light source.”
Control of the entire visual setup was managed via a grandMA3 console, which seamlessly mixed live-action footage with pre-made content as Blink-182 performed hits such as “Feeling This,” “The Rock Show,” and “All the Small Things.”
“With a bit of creativity, you can achieve almost anything with Hippotizer,” adds Black. “It’s rewarding to demonstrate Green Hippo’s power with its on-board effects engine, Notch, Shape Visualizer, and intuitive user interface. In fact, I hardly required any support at all to achieve the dynamic looks for this tour but, when needed, Green Hippo Technical Product Manager, Nick Spencer, has been an invaluable resource, ready to assist and ensure everything runs smoothly — even if just to reassure me that I did something how he would’ve done it!”
The Hippotizer Media Servers and LED screens were provided by NEP Screenworks, with special thanks to Marty Kell and Dave Jacobs.
